Minda T. Petrozzi, 89 of Mingo Junction passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rocco A. " Rocky" Petrozzi on October 18, 2008; who was a Brother Knight of this council and Past Grand Knight from 1966-1967. Minda worked for the Pennsylvannia Railroad during W.W. II. She then worked at the former Kobacker Shoe Warehouse until she retirement in 1970. She was a member of the former St. Bernadette Parish where was she a Past President of the Womens Club. Upon the closing of St. Bernadette, she then joined St. Agnes Church, and was a member of St. Agnes Womens Club. Surviving are three sons, Rocco A. (Janice) Petrozzi of Mingo Junction, Lawrence (LeeAnn) Petrozzi of Lisbon, John (Deborah) Petrozzi of Westerville. a daughter Rita (Jerome) Carubia of Mingo 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends received at Wheeler Funeral Home in Mingo Tues. March 10 from 7-9 and Wed. Mar 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 Funeral Mass at St.Agnes Church Thursday, Mar 12 at 10:00am with Rev. James M. Dunfee, celebrant.

Joseph L. Blaschalk, 87, passed away Mon, July 21, 2008

Joe was a member of St. Agnes Church and was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII.  He was the owner of Blaschalk Funeral Home since 1964. Joe was a member of our council since 1969. Joe is survived by his wife Margaret; a sister MargaretWright and her husband Floyd; nieces Marilyn Roush and Rosemary Dorff; a dear friend Gina Cornelius Wright

John Benko, 85, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helen L. (Grantonic) Benko whom passed away Feb. 22, 2008 John was a member of St. Agnes Church, a member of the 4th Degree of Father Bigelow Assembly 803. He was a Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of the 336th Depot Repair Squadron during WWII. He was the Commander of the Mingo American Legion Post 351 an office that he held with pride for over 25 years.  Surviving are two sons, John W. (Helen) Benko, Michael Benko, a daughter Marsha (Tom) Marquardt.
